beijing is big, enormous...but within the last week, i met some people several times by hasard.so liu jin, performance and photography artist (in difference to most western artists many chinese artists often use many different mediums-liu jin is also a famous painter).after i contacted him last wednesday for a meeting, i was surprised to see him twice since then...so beijing seems to be a village...
among is work-have a look at his early performances; he spent several days in jail because of them-there are above all the latest series in photography which got my full attention. here "our city": liu jin asks people in beijing to pull down their trousers for him...
